NAV-X ISV Device License Agreement

NAV-X is providing this ISV Device License to you.  If you are licensed to use Microsoft Dynamics NAV software (the “software”), you may use an ISV Device License.  You may not use it if you do not have a license for the software. You may use a copy of this supplement with each validly licensed copy of the software.

The following license terms describe additional use terms for this supplement. These terms and the license terms for the software apply to your use of the supplement. If there is a conflict, these supplemental license terms apply.

BY INSTALLING, HAVING INSTALLED, OR USING THE SOFTWARE, YOU ACCEPT THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THEM, DO NOT INSTALL, HAVE INSTALLED OR USE THE SOFTWARE.

If you comply with these license terms, you have the rights below.

1. Definitions

  1. ISV Device means the hardware or any software customization using the Device Access License to access the ERP Solution;
  2. Performing warehousing functions means receiving, putting-away, doing internal stock transfers, picking, packing, and shipping goods plus performing inventory count checks in the context of a warehouse management system and posting output and materials consumption against production orders when captured as transfers of raw materials and finished goods between a warehouse and a production line (all other types of transactions are excluded);
  3. Warehouse Device means one device dedicated to performing warehousing functions, and that may not be used for any other purposes. Each Warehouse Device must:
  4. Communicate with Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017 via one of the two following methods:
    • Through the ADCS Connector provided by Microsoft where the Warehouse Device would use a VT emulator via the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Mini Forms.
    • Through web services where the Warehouse Device would use an “ISV.net Client” to communicate to Microsoft Dynamics NAV via Web Services.
    • Device does Not have cellular capabilities, or connected to a cellular network
    • If the device is hand held, have a built-in barcode scanner.

2. Types of Device Licenses

  1. Types of Device Access Licenses
    There is one type of Device Access License: ISV Device access licenses
    • ISV Device CAL or ISV Device SAL: is a license that allows a Warehouse Device to access the Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP Solution.
  2. License model availability
    • ISV Device CALs can only be licensed under the Perpetual License Model.
    • ISV Device SALs can only be licensed under the Subscription License Model.
  3. Reassignment of Device Access Licenses
    • You may permanently reassign your Device Access Licenses from one device to another.
    • You may temporarily reassign your Device Access Licenses to a loaner device while the permanent device is out of service.
